Mr S Taylor Award

To the top Year 10 student based on ability and attitude in farm and sheds.

Landmark

Top Year 11 student and top Year 12 student based on their ability and attitude on farm and in sheds.

Morawa Shire Award

Awarded to a Year 11 and a Year 12 student based on achievement over all subjects at the end of Semester One.

AusChem Training WA Award

Awarded to a Year 11 or 12 student who shows the most enthusiasm and commitment to the AusChem course.

Royal Agricultural Society Award

This award is presented to a Year 11 student who, in the opinion of the staff, gives a 100% commitment to their agricultural studies both practical and theory. This does not necessarily mean, but does not exclude the best and brightest student in the class.

 

This award celebrates the willingness of the recipient to keep on going against adversity, to stay behind and finish jobs that need doing and to give 100% effort in the completion of work.

 

The recipient must also, in the opinion of staff, be likely to continue a career in agriculture after the completion of school.

 

Every one of these scholarships has a different selection criteria, this is the criteria that the staff use when choosing the scholarship recipients. 

MFIG and RABOBANK Scholarship

The MFIG Year 10 scholarship of $2000 is available to students entering Morawa College of Agriculture who meet the following criteria

All applications will be ranked according to the following selection criteria:

  • Demonstration that the student has worked to the best of their ability according to school reports (general teacher’s & principal’s comments) 
  • Attitude and behaviour based on most recent school report from previous school 
  • The need for financial assistance 
  • Students who can demonstrate enthusiasm for agriculture as the main reason why they want to attend Morawa College of Agriculture
  • Student must be planning to be boarders at the residential campus

The scholarship funds will be held by the college and the successful recipient can use the funds for expenses such as uniforms, excursions, camps, boarding fees and course fees.

Other scholarships

James and Rose Coombe Scholarship

The James and Rose Coombe scholarships are offerd to students who attend a public school situated outside a radius of 65 kilometres from Perth.

 

The scholarships are awarded to help promising country public schools scholars whose parents/carers are unable, without assistance, to meet the cost of secondary school education.
