Entrance Requirements

The main criteria for entrance to this course is an interest and aptitude in agriculture and related areas, and a positive attitude towards residential, college and rural life.

Becoming part of the College Community

Students need to have completed Year 9 or 10 and achieved satisfactory results in Math, Science and English. Units in Agriculture and Design and Technology would also be beneficial, but are not essential.

 
WACE subjects are offered in Foundation and General for a VET or ATAR pathway according to student goals and educational/career pathway.

  • Animal Production Systems (Year 11 & Year 12) General
  • Plant Production Systems (Year 11 & Year 12) General

WA College of Agriculture – Morawa is a Registered Training Organisation offering the following Nationally Recognised Training Packages:

  • AHC20122 Certificate II in Agriculture
  • AHC20122 Certificate II in Agriculture
  • AHC30122 Certificate III in Agriculture
  • AUR20720 Certificate II in Automotive Vocational Preparation
  • ACM20221 Certificate II in Horse Care
  • MEM20422 Certificate II in Engineering Pathways

 

  • SFI20119 Certificate II in Aquaculture (52789 Central Regional TAFE)
  • AHC21216 Certificate II in Rural Operations (52789 Central Regional TAFE)

Completion of these qualifications together with the Western Australian Certificate of Education gives (WACE) students a significant employment and further education and training advantage on graduation. Where possible, delivery of Certificate qualifications occurs in conjunction with classroom subjects.
